- A 12 foot personal watercraft suffered engine failure near Pitas Point and called Vessel Assist for a tow back to the Ventura launch ramp. Captain Randy and Retriever were the towing team.
- Red Witch, a 30 foot Morgan sailboat, suffered engine failure in Channel Islands Harbor and called Vessel Assist for a tow. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands responded, safely towing the boat to its slip in Vintage Marina.
- Sanbar, a Catalina 30, needed a tow from a slip in Ventura Isle Marina to Anchors Way Marine. Captains Bev and Randy, along with Maddie and Butterdog, were the captains and Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy and Retriever towed Catalina 42, Windfall, from a slip in Ventura Isle Marina to Anchors Way Boatyard.
- Island Spirit, a 65 foot sportfishing boat out of Channel Islands Harbor, called for a tow to Channel Islands Boatyard for an engine pull. Captains Randy and Paul, onboard Retriever, were the moving crew.
- Captains Randy and Paul moved Krissi, a 52 foot ex-Navy launch, from one slip to another in Mandalay Bay. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Bev towed an electracraft from a private dock in the Ventura Keys to Anchors Way Boatyard. Maverick was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy towed the dead gray whale from position N 34:20.159, W 119:24.594 to a location south of Anacapa Island. Gray whales are not very hydrodynamic when towed backwards by the tail so it was a long tow toward the mark, at only about 1 1/2 knots. Retriever was the tow boat for the 20 hour tow.
- A Newport 28 sailboat went from a slip in Mandalay Bay to the Channel Islands Boatyard. Captain Jon and Assist Channel Islands were the towing team.
- It was midnight when an 18 foot Gregor lost a shifter cable and needed a tow from near the breakwall in Channel Islands Harbor. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands responded, helping the mariner to get safely back to the launch ramp.
- Chubasco, a Wilson 20, suffered engine failure in position N 34:20.04, W 119:46.09, calling Vessel Assist for a tow back to the Santa Barbara launch ramp. Captain Randy and Retriever responded.
- Sea Dancer, a Skipjack 20, lost its outdrive near the Channel Islands breakwall. Captain Paul, onboard Assist Channel Islands, responded, towing the boat back to the Channel Islands launch ramp.
- Marlin 24, Buganeer, ran out of fuel in position N 34:08, W 119:14, calling Vessel Assist for a fuel delivery. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands were dispatched with the fuel and the delivery was successful.
- Vamanos, A Morgan 40, was towed from Channel Islands to Anchors Way Boatyard. Captain Paul and Assist Channel Islands were dispatched.
- Dawson Ann, a 25 foot Stieger, lost its starter in position N 34:03.5, W 119:49.5, calling for a tow back the Channel Islands. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands were dispatched.
- Captain Tom and Retriever towed Pearson 36, Trinity, from one slip in Ventura Isle Marina to another.
- Captain Tom and Retriever towed Yorktown 35, Shaker, from the pump out station in Ventura Harbor where it lost its steering, back to a slip in Ventura West Marina.
- Reinell 17, Judy Ann, ran out of luck in position N 33:53.118, W 119:27.031. The boat would not start so the mariners aboard called Vessel Assist for a tow back to Channel Islands Harbor. Captain Tom, onboard Assist Channel Islands, was dispatched.
- Captain Randy spent the day delivering diving crews to an offshore rig for inspection and servicing of the equipment. Assist Channel Islands was the vessel.
- Captain Paul, onboard Retriever, moved a Columbia 28 from a slip in Ventura West to the haulout ways at Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy moved 44 foot CSY, Hakuna Matata, from a slip in Vintage Marina, to Anacapa Marine Services. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Radon 26, Carolea, suffered engine failure in position N 34:04.55, W 119:28.42 and called Vessel Assist for a tow. Captain Randy responded on Retriever, but the mariner called and stood him down so he and the boat returned to base.
- Radon 26, Carolea, called Vessel Assist for a second time after his engine failed in position N 34:09.332, W 119:16.159. This time he requested a fuel delivery and Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands were dispatched.
- Diveboat, Vision, was moved from the haulout at Ventura Harbor Boatyard to a slip. Captain Paul and Retriever were dispatched to move the big boat.
- Captains Paul, Jason, and Jon responded to the scene of a 52 foot Baglietto, The Love Boat, taking on water in Channel Islands Harbor. The boat was stabilized, dewatered, and towed to Channel Islands Boatyard for haulout. Assist Channel Islands was the salvage/tow boat.
- Captain Jon was dispatched to assist a 36 foot Hunter just outside the entrance of Channel Islands Harbor. The boat had suffered engine failure and needed help getting back to a slip in Vintage Marina. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
