- Captains Randy and Paul towed a 30 foot Lancer, Fantasy, from Channel Islands Harbor Marina to Anchors Way Boatyard. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy responded to an electric boat disabled in Mandalay Bay, Channel Islands Harbor, but by the time he got to the boat they had sorted their problem out and it was a stand down. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Captain Long-Tow Tom went to the aid of a 20 foot Wellcraft disabled near the west end of Santa Cruz Island. It was a small craft advisory so the trip was a little sloppy, but all's well that ends well and the mariners and their boat were delivered safely to Channel Islands Harbor. Reriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy rescued a 30 foot Owens, named Oh Yeah, from near Point Mugu towing them to Channel Islands Harbor. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- A 28 foot Bayliner lost power about halfway to Platform Gina and needed a tow back to a slip in Channel Islands Harbor. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands did the honors.
- La Bella Vita, a 34 foot Searay, lost one engine and called for assistance in getting back to a slip in Anacapa Isle Marina. Captain Tom responded on Assist Channel Islands.
- A 23 foot Outrage lost its engine while transiting the channel between Santa Cruz Island and Santa Barbara. Captain Tom and Retriever responded, towing the boat back to Santa Barbara Harbor.
- Captain Randy gets the award for the longest tows lately, he responded to the call for help from 30 foot Island Hopper, Irene Marie, disabled near Point Conception. The boat was towed back to Santa Barbara, a 13 1/2 hour case for Captain Randy and Retriever. It was 2:30 am by the time the pair was safely back at base.
- Captains Jason and Bev came to the assistance of Knotty & Nice, a 34 foot O'Day just outside the entrance to Ventura Harbor. The boat had lost an engine hose and needed help getting back to its slip at Larry Dudley Yacht Sales. Maverick was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy moved Final Choice from a slip in Ventura West Marina to Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy went to the assistance of a Skipjack 20, Sea Wolf, disabled at the east end of Anacapa Island. The boat was towed back to Channel Islands Harbor by Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands.
- Captains Bev and Paul moved a 24 foot Reinell from a slip in Ventura West Marina to the Ventura launch ramp. Maverick was the tow boat.
- Captain Jon was the long tow guy this morning, at 3 am he went to the aid of a 34 foot Catalina, named Sterling, disabled near Point Conception. Captain Jon safely delivered the boat and its mariners to Santa Barbara Harbor. It was a 12 hour case by the time Captain Jon and Retriever returned to base.
- Captains Jason and Bev moved 32 foot Luhrs, Ara Worry, from Anchors Way Boatyard to a slip in Ventura Isle Marina. Maverick was the tow boat.
- Captains Jason and Paul moved 53 foot yacht, Midori, from a slip in Ventura Isle Marina to Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy went to the rescue of 21 foot Seaswirl Striper, Vitamin Sea, disabled in the shipping lanes. The ultimate destination for the boat was Santa Barbara and Captain Randy was prepared for a long tow, but by the time he got on scene with the mariners they had sorted out their problem and the case was a stand down. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Caroldean, a 49 foot Chriscraft, was towed from Channel Islands Boatyard to a private slip in the Ventura Keys. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands were the moving team.
- Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands went to the assistance of Obsession, a Sportcraft 24, disabled in Chinese Anchorage, Santa Cruz Island. The boat was safely towed back to Channel Islands Harbor.
- Flicka 20, Kahlua, came to the Vessel Assist docks to have Captain Paul dive on it to change a prop.
- A 27 foot Bayliner suffered engine failure near the breakwall in Channel Islands Harbor. Captain Randy, onboard Assist Channel Islands, responded, towing the boat to a private slip in Westport Village.
- Waterline, a 24 foot Radon, ran out of fuel in position N 34:07.5, W 119:22.856. Captain Tom, onboard Assist Channel Islands, responded with 10 gallons of fuel and the boat was able to make way under its own power back to Channel Islands Harbor.
- Captains Paul and Bev moved 67 foot poweryacht, Voyager, from a slip in Ventura Isle Marina to Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Maverick was the tow boat.
- Catalina 30, Sunkissed, suffered engine failure while transiting from a slip in Channel Islands Harbor Marina to Vintage Marina. Captains Bev and Paul, onboard Assist Channel Islands, were the response team.
- Captain Jon went to the assistance of Patriot, a 21 foot Seaswirl, disabled in position N 34:05.8, W 119:31.1. The boat had suffered engine failure and needed a tow back to Ventura Harbor. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captains Bev and Jason towed a 34 foot Searay from a slip in Ventura Isle Marina to Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Maverick was the tow boat.
- 38 foot Beneteau, Fusee, started taking on water in its slip in Channel Islands Harbor. Captains Randy, Jason and Paul responded with pumps and stopped the downward progress of the boat just in the nick of time. (PHOTO 1) (PHOTO 2)
- Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands towed a 35 foot Moducraft, named Lady M, from Channel Islands Harbor to Anchors Way Marine in Ventura.
- Captains Randy and Jason moved six boats for Anacapa Isle Marina whose docks are undergoing repair. The moves took most of the day, Assist Channel Islands was the towboat.
- Captain Jason moved a 30 foot Herschoff from Anacapa Marine Services to a private slip in Mandalay Bay. Assist Channel Islands was the towboat.
- A 23 foot Coronado broke free from the mooring area near Stearn's Wharf in Santa Barbara and went adrift. Captain Randy was dispatched to find the boat and tow it back to Santa Barbara. Retriever was the towboat.
- Captain Randy towed 21 foot Seaswirl, Patriot, from a slip in Ventura West Marina to the Ventura launch ramp. Retriever was the towboat.
- A 20 foot Searay lost battery power while fishing on the back side of Anacapa Island. Captain Randy was dispatched on Retriever to give the mariners a jumpstart.
- Bayliner 32, Rennaissance, needed a hand getting from a slip in Vintage Marina, Channel Islands Harbor, to the boatyard. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands were the moving crew.
- Double Cobra, an Anderson 22, suffered engine failure in position N 33:58.960, W 119:36.02 and called Vessel Assist for a tow back to Channel Islands Harbor. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands responded.
- Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands went to the aid of a 27 foot Grady White disabled in Mandalay Bay. The boat had suffered electrical failure and dropped an anchor until assistance arrived.
- Engine failure claimed another victim, a 21 foot Chrysler named Starfire, in position N 34:08.192, W 119:159.97, called Vessel Assist for a tow back to Channel Islands Harbor. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Raggedy Ann, a Columbia 28, was disabled near The Whales Tail in Channel Islands Harbor, needing a tow back to Channel Islands Harbor Marina. Captain Paul and Assist Channel Islands were the rescue team.
- Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands gave a jumpstart to a Peterson 35 sailboat coming in to Channel Islands Harbor. The jump was a joy and the boat was able to make way under its own power back to a slip in the harbor.
- A 20 foot Glastron suffered engine failure in position N 34:08.00, W 119:19.00 and called Vessel Assist for a tow back to Ventura Harbor. Captain Randy and Retriever were the team.
- Captains Bev and Paul towed 21 foot Seaswirl, Patriot, from the Ventura launch ramp to a slip in Ventura West Marina. Maverick was the towboat.
- It was a double header for Captain Randy today, after towing a boat from Ventura Harbor to Anacapa Marine Services, he picked up another boat coming back from Anacapa Isle Marina to Anchors Way Boatyard. It was a four hour turnaround for him and Retriever.
- A 21 Seaswirl began taking on water while attempting to enter Ventura Harbor and the skipper issued a Mayday on VHF channel 16. Captains Jason, Paul and Randy, onboard Retriever, responded to the emergency, putting a pump aboard the sinking boat and stabilizing the situation. The boat was safely rescued for the grateful mariners and towed back to the launch ramp in Ventura Harbor.
- A 22 foot Defiant lost engine power south of Ventura Harbor and called Vessel Assist for help. Captain Randy onboard Retriever responded, towing the boat back to the launch ramp in Ventura Harbor.
- A 25 foot Proline, named Zee Tube Guru, suffered transmission failure while attempting to leave Santa Cruz Island for the mainland. The mariners aboard reported the boat was stuck in reverse so they reversed all the way back to Smuggler's Anchorage and dropped an anchor until Captain Randy and Retriever arrived on scene to tow them back to Ventura.
- Captains Jason and Bev towed a 34 foot Searay from Ventura Harbor Boatyard to a slip in Ventura Isle Marina. Retriever was the towboat.
- Captain Randy, onboard Assist Channel Islands, responded to the Bayliner 28 named The Laras, disabled at the Channel Islands fuel dock. The boat was towed back to a guest slip.
- A 17 foot Caribe needed help getting from a private slip in Mandalay Bay to the launch ramp in Channel Islands Harbor. Captain Randy, onboard Assist Channel Islands, responded to the call.
- Caprain Randy and Assist Channel Islands towed a 28 foot Bayliner from the Harbormaster's dock to the launch ramp in Channel Islands.
- A Seaswirl 28 lost engine power near the east end of Anacapa Island. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands towed the boat back to the Channel Islands launch ramp.
