April 2008:

• 22 foot Grady White, Wicked Waloo, called Vessel Assist for some help but managed to get the problem fixed and stood down Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands.

• National Park Service boat, Sea Ranger II, needed a tow from the NPS headquarters to Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Captains Paul, Jason, and Bev, along with Butterdog and Maddie, towed the boat. Retriever was the tow boat.

• 40 foot, red sailboat, Free Bird, was towed from a homeslip in the Ventura Keys to Ventura Harbor Boatyard by Captains Jason and Bev on Retriever.

• Bayliner 35, Tommy, was moved from one slip in Ventura West Marina to another in Ventura West Phase II. Captains Jason and Bev, onboard Retriever, were dispatched.

---

• Captain Randy and Retriever towed Old Glory from Ventura Harbor Boatyard back to a slip in the Ventura Harbor Village.

• Captain Randy rescued Amgen II, a 32 foot Uniflite with transmission failure, in position N 33:40.34, W 119:49.81. The tow back to Channel Islands Harbor was a long one, Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands were underway for 10 1/2 hours by the time the tow was complete.
