- Captains Jason and Paul moved an 87 foot yacht for Ventura Harbor Boatyard, and then, immediately after, assisted a 50 foot sailboat to the boatyard. Retriever was the towboat.
- Captains Randy and Jason, onboard Retriever, responded to an incident off Point Mugu. A 28 foot Sportfishing boat broke an engine hose and took on water, sinking just below the surface. The boat was outfitted with a swordfish plank and a tuna tower so the diving was precarious for Captain Randy, but the boat was raised, righted, dewatered, and towed back to the Channel Islands launch ramp. - Captain Jon went to the assistance of a 30 foot Catalina disabled just outside Ventura Harbor. Since Retriever was at Point Mugu assisting the submerged sportfisher, along with Captains Jason and Randy, Captain Jon responded on Assist Channel Islands. The boat was safely towed back to its slip in Ventura Isle Marina and Assist Channel Islands returned to base.
- Captain Jon assisted 56 foot poweryacht, Boat Drinks, into a private slip in Westport Village. The big boat lost an engine while in transit to Channel Islands Harbor. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Captains Bev and Paul moved Gypsy D, a 40 foot Owens, from a slip in Ventura Isle Marina, to Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Retriever was the towboat.
- Captain Randy delivered a hard hat diver to Channel Islands Harbor from a commercial boat offshore. The diver was conducting an underwater survey of the outfall buoy near Channel Islands. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy towed a hydro-lift from Ventura Harbor to Channel Islands Harbor, a three hour tow. Retriever was the tow boat.
- A Cal 29 sailboat, Barefoot, ran out of fuel on a voyage out of Channel Islands. The boat was near Point Dume when the call came in to Vessel Assist that a fuel delivery was required. Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands responded.
- It was another fuel delivery for Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands. Before they could return to base from delivering fuel to the Cal 29, a second call came in from a Parker 25 disabled six miles out of Ventura Harbor needing gas.
- Captains Jason and Paul went to the rescue of Cat Dance, a Catalina 30, disabled at the entrance to Ventura Harbor. The boat was safely towed to Anchor's Way Boatyard, Retriever was the tow boat.
- Catalina 36, Sun Soleil, lost its transmission exiting Channel Islands Harbor for week long voyage. The skipper managed to make his way to an open dock near the Whales Tail restaurant and called Vessel Assist for some help. Captain Randy, onboard Assist Channel Islands, responded to the incident, towing the boat back to a slip in Anacapa Isle Marina.
- 21 foot Striper, Night Stalker, was disabled near Yellowbanks, Santa Cruz Island and called Vessel Assist for a tow back to Channel Islands Harbor. Captain Randy, onboard Assist Channel Islands, was the captain on call.
- Captains Bev and Jason moved a 25 foot Bayfield, Sea Shell, from a slip in Anacapa Isle Marina to Anacapa Marine Services. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy moved Rubber Biscuit, a 46 foot sailboat, from a slip in Ventura West Marina to Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captains Bev and Jason moved Ragadoon, a Catalina 30, from a slip in Ventura West Marina, to Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Retriever was the tow boat.
- 48 foot power yacht, Great Escape, needed to move from a private slip in Mandalay Bay to another slip in Mandalay Bay. Captain Randy, onboard Assist Channel Islands, was the captain.
- A 40 foot houseboat named Serenity was towed from Bahia Cabrillo Marina in Channel Islands Harbor to Anacapa Marine Services where it was placed on a truck bound for Arizona. Captains Paul and Randy were the moving crew onboard Assist Channel Islands.
- 30 foot Catalina, Ragadoon, went back to its slip in Ventura West Marina from Ventura Harbor Boatyard. Captains Jason and Bev were the moving team. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Paul went to the rescue of sailboat, In the Wind, disabled near the entrance to Ventura Harbor. The boat was towed back to a slip in Ventura West Marina. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captains Tom and Sean went to the rescue of Fishmaster, disabled in the gap between Santa Cruz Island and Anacapa Island. The Sportcraft 26 was towed back to Channel Islands Harbor. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Paddy Wagon, a 37 foot trawler, lost engine power in position N 34:08.997, W 119:15.519 and called Vessel Assist for help. Captain Tom, onboard Retriever, responded, towing the boat back to its slip in Channel Islands Harbor.
- The mariners aboard Cloud Nine, a Tiara 31, wrapped a line around the prop and needed some assistance. They called Vessel Assist and Captain Tom, onboard Retriever responded, towing the boat back to Channel Islands Harbor. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Tom answered the call for help from an Allied 30 sailboat, named Shearwater, making way under sail on a voyage from Mexico. The boat was headed to Channel Islands Harbor and lost both the wind and engine power. The boat was safely towed back to a slip. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Captain Paul was the long tow guy who went to the aid of the 46 foot sloop named Tesoro at Point Conception. Leaving at 3:30 am, he traveled all day in order to get the boat safely back to Santa Barbara. He and Retriever arrived back at base at 1700.
- A Morgan 44 sloop transiting from Marina del Rey, lost engine power near Point Dume and called for assistance. The mariner was a Sea Tow member, but Captain Randy and Assist Channel Islands responded, towing the boat to Channel Islands Harbor.
- Captains Jason and Bev moved 40 foot Catalina, Wind Dancer, from Ventura Harbor Boatyard to a private slip in the Ventura Keys. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Fat Tuesday, a Hunter 37, called for assistance from Vessel Assist. Captain Randy, onboard Assist Channel Islands, responded, towing the boat back to a slip in Channel Islands.
- Outdrive failure claimed a victim. Nightstalker called Vessel Assist for a tow bak to Channel Islands Harbor. Captain Randy responded onboard Assist Channel Islands, towing the boat back to Channel Islands.
- Captain Paul went to the rescue of the 30 foot sailboat, named Avanti, off Emma Wood Beach. The boat had lost engine power and the mariners were not sure how to sail it back to the harbor to their slip at the Village. Maverick was the tow boat since Retriever was off to Elwood Beach to tow a Radon back to Santa Barbara.
- After putting the 30 foot sailboat away Captain Paul responded to the call from Seascape, a 50 foot powerboat disabled in Ventura Harbor. The boat needed to go back to its slip in Ventura Isle Marina but had lost an engine. Maverick moved the big boat.
- Captain Randy onboard Retriever was dispatched to tow a Radon, named Pacific Dolphin, back to Santa Barbara. Retriever was the tow boat.
- An 18 foot Searay, disabled in the gap between Santa Cruz and Anacapa Islands, called for a tow. Captain Jon onboard Assist Channel Islands responded, towing the boat back to the launch ramp in Channel Islands Harbor.
- Retriever was the tow boat responding to the call for help from the 23 foot Parker on the backside of Santa Cruz Island. Captain Randy was the captain towing the boat back to Ventura Harbor.
- Captains Jason and Paul, onboard high speed response vessel Maverick, responded to the 27 foot powerboat named Teralani aground at Anacapa Island. Coast Guard was on scene, along with the Anacapa Island Park Rangers. Captains Jason and Paul towed the boat back to Channel Islands Harbor where a Coast Guard boarding party conducted a search. - After delivering their tow safely to the launch ramp in Channel Islands Harbor, Captain Jon and Assist Channel Islands responded to a disabled 28 foot Bayliner in Channel Islands Harbor. The disabled boat was towed to a guest slip.
- Captain Jon had another run late in the day, a 27 foot Proline suffered a plugged fuel filter in position N 34:02.77, W 119:28.613 and needed a tow back to Channel Islands Harbor. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy and Retriever acted as chauffeurs to a group of mariners who swamped their dinghy at Smuggler's Cove, Santa Cruz Island and were unable to get back out to their anchored boat. National Park Ranger #240 took the mariners and their skiff to Scorpion Anchorage where Captain Randy could pick them up from the pier. Randy and Retriever then delivered the party to their anchored Grand Banks 42, Solitaire, and returned to base.
- Captain Randy discovered a 12 foot RIB floating in the Santa Barbara Channel while on one of his tows. He brought the skiff onboard Retriever until he could finish his tow, he then brought it back to base. Captain Paul had overheard communications on the VHF earlier in the day regarding a sailboat with a missing dinghy so he called Coast Guard Group L.A. and requested contact information. The inflatable was returned to its rightful owner on Tuesday.
- Captain Jon came to the rescue of the Marina Sailing boat, Synapse, disabled in Channel Islands Harbor. The boat was hanging on to the end of "D" Dock in Anacapa Isle Marina until help arrived. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
- Captains Bev and Paul helped Ventura Harbor Boatyard with the move of 100 foot crewboat, Isabell. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy made the trip to the shipping lanes, onboard Assist Channel Islands, to assist a 21 foot Seaswirl named Nightstalker. The boat needed a tow back to Channel Islands Harbor launch ramp.
- Captains Bev and Jason towed a 30 foot sailboat named Delphinus from a slip on D Dock at Ventura West Marina, to a slip on A Dock at Ventura West Marina. Maverick was the tow boat.
- Captains Jason and Bev moved a 37 foot powerboat from a slip at Ventura West Phase II to a slip on B Dock in Ventura West Marina. Retriever was the tow boat.
- Captain Randy towed a 19 foot Wellcraft into Channel Islands Harbor. Assist Channel Islands was the tow boat.
